The Must-See Events & Festive Magic for 2025
If you’re spending the Christmas period in Barbados this year, prepare for one of the most charming holiday seasons you’ll ever experience. December on the island is a blend of cool breezes, sparkling lights, the rich smell of Bajan black cake (the island's take on a traditional Christmas Pudding) and a full calendar of festive events for families, couples, and anyone chasing that Caribbean Christmas magic.

Whether you're visiting for the first time or you’re a local looking for something special to do, here’s your guide to the best Christmas events happening across Barbados in 2025.
Haymans Market - Festive December Events
Without fail Haymans are providing copious amounts of festive fun, the modernised sugar mill is already beautifully kitted out with Christmas decorations. Here is what is on their Christmas agenda...
28th November - they are hosting a Christmas Riddim & Rhyme featuring steel pan, puppets, stories and more.
5th December - they have a festive performance from Zoe Sunshine at 7pm
6th December - they are holding a Christmas Pop Up Market from 10am - 5pm which is free to attend.
14th & 20th - Santa will be visiting the premises on these dates so don't miss him!
14th December - Pearl's Dance Academy are performing a Christmas Dance Pop Up 5-7pm
19th December - Enjoy live music from the Barbados Police band with a festive night market and snow showers.
20th December - Sing merry tunes with the St. Patricks Catholic Church Choir and some late night shopping (traders open until 8pm).
24th December - The traders are open until 5pm just incase you need to do a last minute present dash!!
Christmas Carols at St. Nicholas Abbey - 14th December
St. Nicholas Abbey is magical year-round, but even more so at Christmas. On Sunday the 14th, the Barbados Police Service Band fills the historic grounds with traditional carols. It’s a ticketed event, and food and refreshments are available—perfect for a cosy, heart-warming evening out, they also have a tree welcoming gifts for underprivileged children on the island, if you wish to donate a gift please bring it wrapped with the age and gender stated. All of the proceedings from this event will be donated to Childrens Charities across the island.

Christmas Wonderland 2025 – December 19, 20 & 21
Christmas Wonderland returns for another year of festive magic! Hosted at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium by the NSC, this three-night spectacular runs from 5:00pm – 10:00pm and is packed with dazzling lights, entertainment, family activities, and all the Christmas cheer you can imagine.

Children (13–16): $10
Children 12 & under: free
Limegrove Christmas Craft Fairs - 6th & 21st December
Holetown’s Limegrove Shopping Centre transforms beautifully for Christmas, and their festive craft fairs are a December favourite. Taking place on the 6th and 21st December, the fairs feature local artisans, handmade gifts, live entertainment, and a lovely blend of island charm and holiday luxury.
Brighton Farmers Market - Christmas Markets
Brighton’s Christmas Launch kicks off the season early with over 70 vendors revealing their festive stock. From fresh produce and homemade goodies to crafts, music, and that iconic Saturday morning vibe, it’s the perfect way to ease into the holidays, they open 6:30am until 10:00am every Saturday.
They have a 'Christmas Angel' programme in which you choose a tag from their Angel Tree (each tag represents a child in need this season), you then purchase a gift using the description from the chosen angel tag (age & gender) then wrap the gift, attach the tag and return it to the market (right by Carrot Cup Coffee) and they will deliver your gift to the right child needing some extra Christmas magic. The last time you can return the wrapped gifts is Saturday 6th December.
Santa will be visiting the market on 13th December and on 20th December you are invited to enjoy Christmas carols followed by their final 2025 market on 27th to soak up the last of the festivities.
Holders Farmers Market - Christmas Craft Highlights
Holders is always a crowd-pleaser, but during Christmas it becomes a true treasure trove. Their Christmas craft offerings are ideal for thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts. It’s a relaxed Sunday stroll that feels festive without the rush, the market will be open 9am - 2pm every Sunday.
Santa comes to La Cabane - Sunday, 21st December
A Barbados Christmas wouldn’t be complete without Santa showing up, beachside, of course. La Cabane welcomes him on Sunday the 21st December for a laid-back, sandy-toes celebration. Book your table now to ensure you can be a part of the festive fun at the Christmas edition of their kids club (9-11 am).
Eco Kids Holiday Beach Camp - Dec 15th until Jan 2nd
