Barbadian cuisine, also known as Bajan cuisine, is a flavourful fusion of African, British, Caribbean, and indigenous influences.

We have selected some of our favourite restaurants for you to browse, from beachside cafes to fine dining establishments.

Bookings are essential at most places in Barbados so do make sure you double check, and before your trip follow them on their socials so you can work out what happens and when so you don't miss something special that they have in store!

Loved breakfast at this little spot in St. Philip, we found it totally by accident, the food and service were fabulous, the owner let us try their famous rum punch, would have ordered more but it was only 9:30am!!

This restaurant will not disappoint... family run, which made it even more welcoming, gorgeous decor, wonderful food and fantastic iced coffee.

Oistins Fish Fry

OISTINS

Full to the brim with Bajan culture and claiming to be the world's best fish fry (and nailing it)!  Every Friday and Saturday from 5pm you can enjoy food vendors, live music and a buzzing atmosphere!  Visiting is a MUST when in Barbados!

Haymans Market

A great way to shop, eat and drink all under one roof, this place has it all with over 50 shops, traders, stalls, small businesses, restaurants, cafes and bars. They often have events on such as cinema showings, karaoke, fitness and yoga classes, pop up markets, trivia nights , live music and much more!

A great way to start the day... this health bar serves all things good... food, coffee, smoothies, healthy shots, juices and much more.  Located in Limegrove, Holetown this busy spot is definitely worth a visit, especially after over indulging on the island's offerings!

OISTINS

This little beauty was tucked away on the edge of Enterprise Beach, and it is a must visit (or stay - they have the most beautiful little boutique style hotel) the views were stunning, as was the food. Being there was like being transformed into another world!

Zemi Cafe is located at the Hillcrest Community Centre on the stunning East Coast, from the restaurant you have amazing views of the rugged coastlinbe and the Atlantic Ocean, the food is delicious and the staff were super friendly and welcoming, it's a classy establishment that embraces island life.

This cute little cafe definitely exceeded our expectations, not only was it insta heaven but the food was delicious and the service was great!  It is just in front of the Sugar bay Hotel in Christ Church and is well worth the visit!

This place is a vibe... the view is to die for, the food is fantastic, the staff are brilliant and although it is on the pricier side it is well worth every penny!  It is open until late every night with cocktails flowing, great music and a lively atmosphere...

A trendy restaurant and beach club on the South Coast and a fantastic place to spend the day.  They open just before lunch and close after dark so book a table and a sun lounger and enjoy a Deia at the beach!

The most incredible setting for a spot of lunch with magnificent views of the crashing sea at the very top of the island.  They offer a great local menu and if you're feeling adventurous you can also venture down into the caves before or after you've eaten!

Serving breakfast, brunch and lunch in a cute little cafe setting.  If you ask the staff to feed the fish and they will give you some bread to take to the surrounding water, it's a lovely little spot to grab a bite.
